Savage Paradise is a 220 page comic I wrote, illustrated and published over a two year period.
In the future jungle islands of Los Angeles, tribal Amazons battle vicious robot dinosaurs.
Young genius Jasper Quan teaches the women how to tame these "Dynomeks" with electric guitars, and mayhem ensues.
The story grew out of a few sketches I did for fun; stuck in traffic, imagining characters to match the street names. Fantasizing about the "perfect job", drawing robot dinosaurs and warrior women, with a heavy metal soundtrack.
Thus Savage Paradise was born! I'd like to play more in this world... a sequel is in the works...
Initially designed for a classic vertical layout, I eventually re-designed the book for a horizontal layout that might read better on digital screens. This was a good choice as the book was initially published as a web comic.
