My name's Steve Curcuru (“kookooroo”) ; I have over 20 years of experience working for a wide variety of clients including Dreamworks, Sony, and Disney; as well as top ad agencies including TBWA/Chiat/Day, Y&R, and Saatchi. Aside from life drawing, I'm an avid fan of comics, movies and travel.
After Dreamworks' first internship and graduating from CalArts Character Animation, I consulted for a variety of AI startups in the Boston area - applying animation principles to interactive museum exhibits and events. Returning to Los Angeles, I started storyboarding for the advertising industry, and added an assortment of film directors to my client list.
My experience includes movies, commercials, ad campaigns; as well as live drawing shows in Japan, Italy, and China; storyboards and animatics for Disney’s Beverly Hills Chihuahua and Sony’s Smurfs 1 and 2. I'm always looking to bring new ideas to life in exciting ways for a growing list of global clients.
